Securities & Exchange Commission Whistleblower Program

The Securities and Exchange Commission Whistleblower Office was established in 2011 with the creation of the Dodd Frank Act. Under this program, whistleblowers who provide information on violations of securities laws are eligible for an award ranging between 10% and 30% of the monetary recovery by the U.S. government. Under this program whistleblowers are also protected from employer retaliation for providing information to the SEC.
